Client Need: The client required an engineering review of an MSE retaining wall to assess visible conditions, construction-related concerns, and potential geotechnical performance risks.
AGATETEC Scope: AGATETEC completed a site review of the wall system, surrounding grades, drainage conditions, and visible signs of movement, distress, or poor performance. AGATETEC prepared a comprehensive sealed geotechnical assessment report for the client, summarizing the site observations, reviewed background information, interpreted geotechnical concerns, and recommendations for monitoring, drainage improvement, remedial planning, and follow-up engineering review. AGATETEC’s Principal was involved in the original design of the MSE retaining wall and later provided geotechnical review and condition-assessment support when visible distress was observed.
Outcome / Engineering Value: The review provided practical observations and recommendations to support risk management, maintenance planning, and follow-up engineering action where required.
