Senior Geotechnical Engineer with 18+ years of experience in civil, geotechnical, and infrastructure projects across Western Canada. Specialized in slope stability, foundations, shoring, seismic response, and large-scale industrial, municipal, and energy-sector geotechnical design.
Matthew Zadi is an accomplished Civil and Geotechnical Engineer with over 18 years of industry experience in residential, municipal, industrial, and energy/pipeline projects. With a strong background in field investigations, design engineering, and construction-stage execution, Matthew specializes in ground engineering, deep foundations, slope stability, excavation support, and seismic analyses.
Matthew’s career includes engineering and project management roles across **BC Hydro**, **TC Energy (Coastal GasLink)**, **EXP**, **Thurber Engineering**, and numerous structural and civil engineering firms in Alberta and British Columbia. His work integrates advanced numerical modelling (GeoStudio, Slide2, Sigma/W, L-Pile), laboratory interpretation, and constructible geotechnical solutions for both private and public sector clients.

- Designed shoring systems up to 7 m depth, including soldier pile–lagging and tied-back walls.
- Completed slope stability, erosion control, and pipeline corridor risk reviews.
- Designed septic fields, infiltration trenches, and stormwater infiltration systems.
- Prepared full geotechnical reports for DP and building permit submissions.
